Mr Clarke is experienced in minimal incision hip replacement which can be performed through incisions as small as 7cm. This can help improve function and speed of recovery from operation. Mr Clarke will often combine this with the accelerated discharge programme to help patients to return home as quickly as possible. This procedure has the advantage of less tissue damage in the muscles and tendons around the joint and a reduction in blood loss making blood transfusion rare.
